A Huge Thank You to All My Supporters!!

Truly, my recent and sizable West Virginia Primary election victory, over two concerned and committed opponents, was "a marvelous work and a wonder", especially since I was the decided under-dog in campaign expenditures.

It also gratifies me that my campaign efforts were exclusively positive and scrupulously devoid of destructive and disheartening negatives.

A hearty and grateful thank you especially goes out to my volunteer Campaign Manager, Marcia Diehl, my volunteer Campaign Treasurer, Bob Griffith, and also to all of you who voted for me, and even financially contributed to my campaign.

A special thank you also goes out to my campaign volunteers, who worked so enthusiastically and diligently in canvassing neighborhoods, distributing campaign literature, and even placing campaign yard signs.

However, my heart swells the most in gratitude to my beloved and bodacious wife, Cheryl, who was the principal protagonist in persuading me to once again come out of retirement and advocate on behalf of good governance, striving always to put principles over politics.

Meanwhile, going forward, and for sure and for certain, may God bless you all real good!

A personal invitation for you...

Dear Friend and Mountaineer Fellow Citizen,

After previously coming out of retirement, serving as an elected Delegate from 2010-2014 and also from 2018 to 2020, I have carefully and prayerfully pondered a steady stream of personal pleadings for me to yet again answer the call to return to duty.

I'm now doing this as the Republican candidate for election to the new West Virginia House of Delegates District 94.

As a battle tested conservative and liberty-minded Christian, living for over thirty years in the same modest home within the district, I'm again taking up the citizen legislator gauntlet on your behalf.

Working together to stay independent, we must not give up our fight for integrity, accountability, and transparency in our state government.

That's why West Virginia deserves firm and faithful legislators, who will stand up and work dutifully to defend our paychecks, our values, and our choices.

Please support me in this fight to protect West Virginia and the values that have made America great.

As your Delegate, you can be sure and for certain that I will continue to stand up to the "go along and get along" crowd in our State Capitol, and devoutly defend our shared West Virginia values.

And so, you always can count on me to stand up and speak out on behalf of:

* Reducing taxes and the top-heavy and centralized power of our state government, in order to leave more money in your pocket and more choices in your life.

* Making educating the next generation of Mountain State citizens a top priority. It's vital that we strengthen education in West Virginia, increasing parental involvement in our schools, and getting rid of our top heavy education bureaucracy.

* Defending our traditional West Virginia family values and protecting our God given freedoms, including lives of the unborn, and putting an end to government's intrusion into our lives and liberty. By the way, that's why "West Virginians for Life" has endorsed my election.

* Protecting our Constitutional Rights, especially the 2nd Amendment and all of our "Bill or Rights" other words, all of our Divinely inspired Constitution!  That's just some of the reasons that the West Virginia Farm Bureau, the West Virginia Citizens Defense League, and the National Rifle Association all have endorsed my election. (See even more endorsements and other news about my election @

But, I can't take a stand and fight in Charleston for you without your support, not only for you and your family but for all of us in West Virginia.  And so, working together to remain independent, I am and always will be,

Yours for better governance,

Former Delegate and Republican Nominee Larry D. Kump

Postscript: If you believe, as I do, that West Virginia needs strong leadership to defend our traditional West Virginia values and bring real prosperity to our state, then please also donate generously to my re-election campaign. (A personal donation of $100 to $250 is suggested, but whether your contribution is magnanimous or modest, please simply give whatever you and your family can afford.)

Vaccination Mandates
While I have personally chosen to get the COVID-19 vaccination and a booster shot, I support every person's right to make that personal decision about their own healthcare.
I do not support un-Constitutional mandates that force any person on any age level to take the vaccinations for any reason.
I am against any local, state, or federal government official or bureaucratic agency that unilaterally creates mandates out of thin air without any legislative input.  I am against any unilateral government official to "create laws or rules" that prohibits anyone their right to go to church, to school, to work, or to participate in any other normal activity.

I passionately disagree with the curricula that is being instituted into our schools called Critical Race Theory or CRT.  It is alternatively referred to as a misleading term called Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Actually, CRT is not a true curriculum in the accepted sense of the word.  It is instead a movement that uses false charges of racism to accuse and confuse Americans into thinking the history and foundation of our nation was and still is fundamentally racist.
It is an insidious teaching that attempts to convince Americans that security, opportunity, and prosperity are white supremacist values and that the country must atone for the national sins of our past by rejecting traditional values.
I am against such teaching and indoctrination of our youth.  I will oppose any such legislation that institutes or allows this curriculum into our schools.
